Red velvet bruidstaart

-Witte chocolade icing

I tried out this recipe from a book from a Dutch baking show: Heel Holland Bakt. It is a almond-based pastry with raspberry jelly and icing.
They turned out a but smaller than on the picture, since I did not have the right piping bag.…

Spinach and cheese pie-souffle

This is both a pie with puff pastry as crust, and a souffle, since it puffs up in the oven and rises. One pie will serve a person, but it is advised to also serve a side salad with this dish (see my salad recipes).…

Fennel Sausage spaghetti

If you feel like eating pasta, but not the regular bolognese, you can use this somewhat alternative recipe, using fennel as vegetable. It took some time for me to appreciate the liquorish flavour fennel brings, but in this dish it brings freshness and adds a nice bite.…

This bread is nice, since you can divide it into pieces. I used instant bread mix (from Lidl) since it is nice to have in your supplies so you can easily have people coming over for lunch and you can serve them fresh bread.…

Fresh bread - white and raisin apple (Easter recipe)

Before baking (left) and after baking (right)

Sometimes you really like to make bread, only not too much, since you will not eat it fast enough… But if you make this combination of two types of bread at the beginning of the weekend, you will eat it over the weekend as breakfast and lunch with two people, before it turns old.…
